This study investigates direction-dependent energy localization in an asymmetric origami-inspired linkage system. By comparing two structural types (L-type and R-type) under force and velocity inputs, a clear qualitative difference in dynamic response was observed. The L-type exhibited stable wave propagation throughout the structure, whereas the R-type consistently showed strong energy localization near the boundary, particularly under velocity excitation where a boundary-mode-like response emerged. Quantitative analysis using the inverse participation ratio (IPR) confirmed that the R-type achieves significantly stronger energy localization than both the L-type and a symmetric reference, demonstrating that geometric asymmetry alone can induce robust boundary energy localization.
