This research presents a practical approach to the industrial application of metal origami through systematic design and fabrication methodologies. Unlike paper-based origami, the proposed structures account for the plastic deformation, stiffness, and durability of metallic materials, enabling reliable folding behavior under realistic loading conditions. Integrated manufacturing processes, including laser cutting, bending, and assembly, are developed and experimentally validated through impact testing to assess structural stability and functional reliability. By demonstrating the feasibility of metal origami as a functional engineering system, this work establishes a robust foundation for applications in protective structures, energy-absorbing devices, and industrial mechanical components.
