This study proposes a new structural concept that introduces shape-variable scissor units to enlarge the range of surface sizes and geometries that can be closely conformed using only a single degree-of-freedom (1-DOF) actuation. The scissor structure achieves simple actuation while maintaining load-bearing capability based on rigid links. This allows the structure to stably preserve its deformed shape even under external disturbances. As a result, a single structure can be adapted to closely fit a wide variety of arbitrary curved surfaces. These characteristics suggest practical value for medical designs that require precise attachment of resonant devices to individual human body curvatures, such as the head or torso, as well as for customizable support structures tailored to different body shapes.
